Swimming suit question. Need help from all generations.?
I'm in my thirties (okay i'm 38) and a decent swimmer. I swim a few times a week and do about 2500-3000 yards per swim.
I wear trunks, but is that totally outdated now and should i consider getting a jammer or one of thus square cut training suits? I'm not going to wear a speedo. Would that be like an old guy wearing a print t-shirt over a long sleeve shirt like Jason Bateman in Juno?
What happened to the concept of increasing drag when you train?
What is the deal with jammers anyway? They're still tight and seem to be more uncomfortable without increasing drag for training as trunks would.
My answer is you wear what you feel is most comfortable for you. Do not worry about trends etc. If you like wearing Trunks, then just continuing wearing them. There is nothing wrong with that, I know so many men your age that wear them and since I do live in the Sunshine State, I think I know what they wear. The only men that look so awful in their speedo's are the Europeans who are too old, too fat and just too everything. When I see them at the pool or at the Beach, I am so grateful that I have my own pool in my own home in my own backyard.
