Can anyone tell me why my G.Grandfather would have been moved from england to cork (Ireland) with the Army in ?
Seems my G.Grandfather lived in Gillingham, when he joined the Royal Engineers, About 1895ish and for some reason moved to Cork for roughly 4yrs before coming back . This would have happened during his army career. Can anyone shed any light ??
