Brand-New Fine Art Video Lessons Resource Finally Available Online
London UK. A brand-new website offering high-quality fine art instruction has just been launched. The Web Art Academy (http://art.webartacademy.com) reveals traditional oil painting and drawing techniques to fine art students through the use of high-definition video lessons.
The Web Art Academy was created to give fine art students a thorough instruction in the almost lost secrets of traditional oil painting and drawing. Is it alright to have a manga or cartoon style in an AP Studio Art Drawing portfolio?
I plan on taking AP Studio Art next year, but I'm worried whether the instructor will accept my drawing style and if they do, would I pass the AP test. Does it depend on the quality and skill or is that whole style just unacceptable for Studio Art?
I'm not 100% sure what AP studio art is but I study an Art Foundation course at the moment in the UK. I don't draw in cartoon or manga styles myself but I know people who do and some who are very good at it. Some of our tutors however have said its best not to put Manga into your portfolio because it doesnt show individual style apparently (I assume this is because it is very popular and alot of it is the same). I guess you could put some in if it was a very good peice, but if you have other stuff that is much better and shows your style and ability better then put that in instead. If you are still unsure maybe contact them and ask what they look for in a portfolio? Lots of courses will say lists of things they look for in students portfolios.
