Google warns Europe could run out of capacity for new internet addresses next year?
Vint Cerf, Vice President of 'Google' issues stark internet warning that Europe could run out of web space.

My theory is all those suspended/multiple accounts are taking up most of the space. Did you know that if you Google the word 'Google', you will break the internet... ?
IPv6 will cost a few pennies to implement. I don't think the internet will grind to a halt. To my eye, I think this is a bigger issue than the Y2K bug, seeing as in theory it could result in some people not being able to access the internet. I expect that UK service providers will roll something out in a couple of years, with some sort of cack handed "fix" to help them earn time till then.
