Plus Size Dark Fairy Costume - 3 Common Ways To Make Your Costume a Success
The dark fairy costume - is portrayed in exactly how the words are written. The word "Dark", meaning without light, bad or evil. The word "Fairy" symbolizing spirituality and a magical presence. These two words together mean a fairy who has fallen from grace. She is the exact opposite of a good fairy. If you are going to wear a this kind of costume, then it might be beneficial to understand how you can fit the dark character.
To wear something like this means you need to understand the darkness that lives within the fairy's soul. They are very dark creatures of the woods that do not enjoy peace or contentment. They are dark creatures that starve a being of their spirit and haunt them until their dying days. Dark fairies fell from grace during a time when enchantment was still a part of this world. They choose to follow the pursuit of power and dark magic. They used these two objectives to achieve their goals. Eventually the evil turned them into what they are today.
To wear a dark fairy costume it means to look angry, old, and a creature that is wasting away from the evil eating at their soul. A dark fairy can come in different styles. Not all are as dark as I made this one out to be. Yet if you want to portray the traditional dark fairy look, then wearing this kind of costume as described in this article will be crucial to making it pop.
1) Make up
A dark fairy needs to have the right make up. Anything like zombie make up or vampire make up will do. Dark fairies look old, unclean, without life, and very thin. At times they almost look like skeletons. Put a bit of dark makeup on your face. But don't over do it. You don't want to look dead. You want to look dirty and tired. Add some wrinkles to enhance the look.
2) Shoes
Shoes that are the color black are perfect for this costume. The shoes have to be open toe, flat without heel. To make the shoe look old and worn, put a little shoe polish smug on it and add material to give it a torn look.
3) Hair
Your hair is the final touch to this costume. Hair has to be disorganized. If you have very short hair, you may want to purchase a wig. Dark Fairies are in a constant state of chaos. Their thirst for devouring souls is never satisfied. Dark fairies are not creatures of beauty. They do not care about their looks, unless they are luring a male to them. At that time they will look as the male would want them to look. .
The criteria discussed this article are just a few things that can help you create the perfect Halloween costume. Something that you might keep in mind is, the dark fairy has a wail. This wail is often heard when someone dies. If you can practice a good wail, you will not only pull off a great costume but also scare a few people.
