The Pirate Joins Hands With A Baby Girl's Baby Army To Engage In Mutiny
He's all in the news and the people love him. Why? Because he's the best pirate the world would have ever had. Recently Johnny Depp paid a surprise visit to the Meridian School London; he paid this his as a lavish reply to a letter written to him by an innocent nine-year-old girl Beatrice Delap who considers herself and her school mates as budding pirates. He sure knows that children love him greatly after this visit.
The girl wrote to him that she wanted to engage in a mutiny against the school teachers and wanted his help for the same. And the reply she gets even surprises the school authorities who were held in awe by the Actor's Piratey Ways of replying to his letters. The local school authorities were informed shortly before his visit and then to everyone's surprise alas the Pirate came, clad in his Captain Jack Sparrow's Pirate Of The Caribbean costume accompanied by his fellow pirates.
Well the way I see it. He's surely got an A+ from the Faculties and his fans about being such a sweetheart and taking his time to come and meet this cutest little baby girl I've ever seen. His coming and interacting with the children shows his best character and his grateful nature.

Another paradigm could be that he was just there to promote his forthcoming film Pirates Of The Caribbean 4, but who cares he's got a lot of other ways to do it!
Another one of his humanitarian gesture include showing up secretly in Great Ormond Street Hospital in January 2008 to donate £1million to show his gratitude to the Doctors for saving his daughter's life which was just months after making a secret visit to the hospital to recite bedtime stories to the sick children in the wards clad in his world famous Captain Jack Sparrow outfit.
It doesn't matter what you can take from this world, what matters is what you are able to provide. And he sure has set a lucid example for all of us. Keep up the good work Sir! We all love you.

Community Service Help?
Hey, i have a question. i'm 15 years old, in the greenwich/new york city area, and looking for community service i can do. the thing is, all the community services i've read about aren't really hands-on, if that makes any sense. i'd really like to do something like go to an orphanage and spend time with kids or help around there, or go to a children's hospital and just talk to children. i really want to interact with children who are in hard situations and comfort them. i don't want to do something like file papers or sit at a gift shop desk to get community service hours - i really want to help. i guess id mainly like to revolve around children... but it's not essential. does anyone know of anywhere i could volunteer like that? thanks a lot guys 
Hello there! I think it's just absolutely wonderful that you have such a caring and volunteering spirit.
Volunteering in general is about matching your areas of skill to a particular service need. Are you good with htlm or computers for example? There are a lot of volunteer opportunities you could take part in then right over your computer and right from home. Do a search for "on-line volunteering."
Do you like animals? Try local animal shelters and veterinary clinics, maybe even 4H.
Since you mentioned children, Try local shelters, orphanages, Big Brothers/Big Sisters programs. Although I think you have be 18 to do Big Brothers/Big Sisters. Children's Aid Society has a chapter in the Greenwich area, try here: http://www.childrensaidsociety.org/
Do you want to work with people? How about soup kitchens, homeless shelters, domestic violence shelters, etc?
Do you want to do some kind of spiritual or religious outreach? Your church will have programs or the know-how to start one.
You might also grab your local yellow pages (phone book) and look up "charity." There will be a lot of charities listed that may not have a website or are accessible online. Call them up and ask them about volunteering opportunities. Visiting sick kids in Children's hospitals is another idea, there were probably be a couple within your area. Again, check the phone book.
