How do I have HUGE posters printed?
For my art project I need a massive poster printed, I'm talking bigger than A1.
It will need to be on paper, the thinner the better really.
The quality doesn't matter too much as the design is simple.
Is there a website I can get this done? Or a store in the UK?
I found one store that could do them, not really big enough, but he said it would cost me £28 for one! Is this expensive for what I am looking at getting?
The cheapest way, if you will accept the quality, is this free site http://www.blockposters.com/ which will convert your image to a pdf file containing many pages which you download, print and tape together - trimming the white edges depending on your printer. They do this for free because they want your attention to printing a full sized poster for a fee and because once set up, it costs almost nothing for them to do.
I have no idea where this company is, but you should be able to find similar operations doing large posters over there. Remember, if the poster is a photo rather than a plain print design, it has to have a lot of pixels to look good when blown up.
