Everything will go to waste if you fail to inform your prospective affiliates about your great affiliate program. Mass mailing software gives you a head start.
Affiliate marketing requires a lot of groundwork even before getting a single affiliate. You need to:
- buy software
- get it installed and customized by a developer
- configure the software by an expert affiliate manager
- set up commission structures by reviewing the full business model
- create terms and conditions by consulting a lawyer
- consult with a copywriter and get copy written for each promo
- get the promos developed by a graphics or HTML designer
- and more….
After accomplishing all of the above, you may end up without any affiliates if you do not inform your prospective affiliates about your affiliate program and tell them why they should join it.
There is one well-known way to inform your prospective affiliates - run aggressive email campaigns. To do this you need good mass mailing software. Without it, you will end up with a lot of frustration and wasted time trying to email each individual prospect. .
Internal mass mailing software gives you an extra advantage
To send emails with mass mailing software, you have four options. You can:
- buy a third-party reliable mass mailing software, hire a developer, and get it installed on your website
- purchase open-source mass mailing software and hire a developer to set it up on your server
- subscribe to a third-party hosted mass mailing service and send emails without the bother of installing another system

The first three options are all managed by an external system, but the fourth option is managed by an internal system. With option #4, you receive extra advantages.
- Say you are running email campaign with an offer to your subscribers to become affiliates. You plan to send three different email messages during the first, second, and third week of the month. You have already sent the first message and some people have already registered as affiliates. You do not want the second email sent to those who have already registered. There is no way to do this with an external system, but you can easily do this with an internal system.
- If you need to send emails or newsletters to internal users (all affiliates or affiliates belonging to some groups), you can do that very easily with an internal system. If you are using an external email system, sending all of this out via email entails a lot of work and may not even be feasible.
- Using an internal system saves times and money because you only have to manage one single system. With an external system, you may need to hire someone to send out your monthly newsletter, or a one-time sales letter as the process is very time consuming.
Some final suggestions
It is far better to buy an affiliate system bundled with an internal mailing system. If you are already using affiliate software that does not include a mailing system, you have no alternative but to take on the labor-intensive work of managing the mailing campaigns outside the affiliate system.
For the health and growth of your business, you know you have to ensure that your regular mailing campaigns and monthly newsletter are sent at a predetermined time. With an internal mailing system, you never have to worry about subscribers receiving your emails.
One last caveat - makes sure that all of your email campaigns are legal and never send email to someone who has unsubscribed.

I have been religous my entire life so I never have done this until I started dating a guy who was never raised with any religion. As I taught him about what I believed, I tried to see things through his eyes and his point of view since what I was teaching was something that had always been a part of my life. It was a wonderful learning experience for me to try and see things from someone elses point of view. The whole experience made me realize even more how much my beliefs mean to me.
