i had just turned 19 when i found out i was pregnant. i had taken a test at home that was positive, but i didn't tell my mom cuz i was trying to figure out the best way to tell her. 5 days later i had a doctors appt to get my birth control refilled, of all things and they gave me a pregnancy test, which also was positive. after my appt my mom called me & asked how the appt went. i said fine. she asked if i got my prescription refilled and i said no. she asked why and i said i didn't want to talk about it. when she got home that night, she didn't say anything to me for 20 minutes. then she sat down on the couch next to me and said you might as well tell me cuz i'm sure i already know. i still couldn't say the words. she asked again and i just stared at the tv. then she said, you're pregnant aren't you? and i started crying. she asked what my plans were and i told her i was keeping it. she cried for a while, but then she was really excited. after the initial shock wears off most parents are excited that they're going to be grandparents. good luck!
