How to Decorate a Dorm Room With Posters
Are you a college freshman? Want to give your boring old dorm room a new and hip look? Then, how about using some posters to give it that personal touch? Posters which depict flashy cars and expensive gadgets are also a little overused and come in the "clichéd" category, just like the posters depicting overused replicas of art from renowned painters like Monet, Van Gogh, and Dali etc. It is better to stick to something original then copying something that everyone else is doing.
Students should think out of the box while looking for some good posters for their dorm room walls. If you don't have much money and cannot splurge on extravagant posters then put up a huge map on your wall. This will not only look different but you can use it in your studies also. Retro posters of old classical movies are also a great idea for your room. These posters have great nostalgic value. The old advertisement posters are also a popular theme to display on your walls. You can search on the internet to find such posters. There are many websites which sell these vintage posters at reasonable prices.
Motivational posters with encouraging quotes from great personalities are also extremely popular. If you are a fan of the movies, then putting up a poster of the latest movie is also not a bad idea. But be careful in your selection as not all movie posters are worth displaying.
If you are a little creative and good with computers, then you can create your own posters using digital enhancements. You can use a personal picture or something that you found on the internet and blow it up to the size of a poster. Purchasing posters on the internet is one of the latest crazes for college students as it has made the task of choosing the right poster extremely easy. You can purchase posters in any budget, theme and size from the internet.
Most dorm rooms are like plain canvases and it is up to the people residing in it to make it look attractive. Students should try to give their room a personality, while making sure that they don't overdo it.

What picture should I use for my massively huge poster ??? 3 x 8 ft?
Ok, so my Step mom, and Dad have been asking me for ''my favourite picture of all time'' they won't tell me what its for but im pretty sure its gonna be for this massively huge massive, huge poster because they said I'd ''see it everyday'' and its for christmas. anyway I dunno what picture I should use, so if theres any picture online (it has to be good quality; enough so it won't be pixily @ a large size) could you send me a link? I need to find a picture that blows my mind because i dont want to chose the wrong one 
I think something victoria francais ish would be cool, or some sort of super up close thing like the art of the Twilight books or something, but really I'm open to anything.
Why are you asking other people what poster you should get? I think you should be asking yourself the question of what you want to look at. What things do you like? What image resonates with you? What is beautiful or cool or means something to you?
