HELP! DOES ANYONE KNOW A VINTAGE PHOTOGRAPHER!?
I live in central MA and i am looking for a local photographer to do my senior pictures. Here's the catch, i don't want regular photo's. I want to find a photographer that is able to do vintage-looking photography. As in, black and white, sepia, and styled to look like the photo's are from the 1920's-1950's. It would be even better if it was one of those studio's who dress you up and do your make up in whatever decade your trying to look like your from, but i'll take what i can find. If you are a professional photographer who can do this or you know one that can, please tell me. Thanks!
I'm no where near MA, but that is what I do. I've got a large format 4x5 camera, a 1935 Rhodenstock lens (and a couple that are just a couple decades newer). I use film, darkroom, traditional paper, etc.
Folks like me are still around, but they may be difficult to find in a particular area. We might not run a studio, but studios can be rented.
If you are looking for a studio that provides its own props, then most of those places have moved on to digital because their customers want instant results (waiting an hour or two is just too much...). Not all reproductions last as well, or look as nice though.
