What is hell like? Is it true that it is the worst pain imaginable? Just how bad is it?
Do most people avoid thinking about what hell is actually like? I think that James Joyce, in "Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man", did a much better job at describing it than I ever could, but I will try my hand and see if there is agreement or disagreement. I´m sure we have all seen the images from the factories of molten steel being poured out of large containers into molding beds. The melted steel is a glowing orange. I believe it is about 3,000 degrees. Imagine, if you will, being slowly dipped into one of these beds of molten steel, and then being completely submerged. Of course, in real life, the pain would be so extraordinarilly exquisite that your pain receptors would be instantly incinerated, but in hell, the pain receptors would be preserved so that the pain could be experienced. Imagine that you are forever submerged here, with no chance of escaping. Is it true that hell is 1,000 times worse than this, and gets many times worse every day?
I would think, technically speaking, that hell is exactly like New Jersey except with slightly more humidity.
