Battle of the Bathrobes

So it comes as no surprise that Lucasfilm Ltd has recently announced that they will be converting all six of their live-action Star Wars films into 3D.  This famed sci-fi saga simply lends itself to 3D, what with all the brilliant battles, curious characters and special effects!  It's hoped that Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace will be the first film to be released in cinemas in 2012, with the rest of the films set to follow.

Therefore you'd better watch out for the resurgence of wannabe Jedi Knights and masters of the dark side, all swishing broom handles, oops, I mean lightsabers at each other!  However there is already a cosy clothing conflict brewing and this is between some super galactic dressing gowns.  Findmeagift.com is witnessing a battle of their Star Wars Bath Robes and the battle lines have already been drawn.  It's you versus the cold.  But which bathrobe alliance you join, is up to you!

Mornings alone can be a battlefield, especially in the winter when the heating hasn't kicked in!  Just trying to make it from the bedroom to the bathroom can leave you with possible frostbite!  However with either the Jedi dressing gown or the Darth Vader dressing gown you can be protected from the cold and draughts in superb Star Wars style.

For all Jedi's of the ‘knight', the Jedi Dressing Gowns - Star Wars Bath Robes will perfectly compliment all Jedi jimmy-jams!  Made of 100% cotton velour, this dashing brown bathrobe features the Jedi insignia embroidered onto the front.  It has two front pockets, which are ideal for stashing space-sweets and lightsabers in.  It also comes complete with a sash belt and the obligatory large hood!  This terrific Jedi gown is ideal for all Rebel Alliance recruits.  It's one sized, but will fit men's sizes medium to extra large.  As soon as you pop this wide sleeved robe on, you'll feel its powerful warmth envelope you, like some mystical force!

Or maybe you prefer to take a walk on the dark side?  If so, then you may find yourself drawn to the might of the Star Wars Darth Vader Helmet Dressing Gown and the Darth Vader Galactic Empire Men's Dressing Gown.  Both of these dastardly dressing gowns will soon be in stock in the Find Me a Gift space station, and when they are, the rebel fleet of Jedi gowns had better watch out!

These commanding black Darth Vader dressing gowns are both made of 100% cotton velour and feature a sash belt and two handy front pockets.  The Darth Vader Helmet bathrobe has Darth Vader's haunting helmet embroidered on the front, whereas the Galactic Empire gown has the Galactic Empire emblem embroidered on the front.  So they'll be no mistaking where your allegiance lies!  There is only one Sith-like difference between these two rogue robes and that is the Darth Vader Galactic Empire gown has an imposingly large hood!

These gowns can be worn day and night and even for fancy dress parties too!  You can turn up at your best mate's party in comfortable attire for a change. Instead of squeezing into some Stormtrooper costume, you can climb the ranks by simply slipping into either of these ruthless looking robes.

It's a good job all these marvellous Star Wars dressing gowns are machine washable, because once you put them on and feel their commanding cosiness, you won't want to relinquish their warmth to put anything else on!  In fact you'll be popping down to the shops in your splendid Star Wars robes without blinking!

These super sci-fi bathrobes are perfect for Star Wars fans or simply for anyone who is after an awesomely snug gown.  So why not join in with the battle of the bathrobes by getting your star fighting mittens on one of these galactic gowns.  Which just leaves one big decision.....which side will you choose?

Star wars episode 5.Darth vader question.?

when luke was on the planet where he met master yoda, who was the darth vader that was in the cave that luke when into and killed?

WOW ... you've gotten 4 of the strangest answers I've ever seen for this question, which gets asked at least once a month on YAnswers. However, strange doesn't mean correct. I will say that each of the answers has a little bit of truth to them but other than that ...

It is part of his "Jedi trials" ... the "trials" are different for each being but in the end it always comes down to defeating the dark side inside you ... basically renouncing the power that anger can give.

The "Vader" that Luke fought in the cave was a "Force Illusion". Kind of like the "holo decks" on Star Trek.

Remember in the scene where Luke asks Yoda what is in the cave and Yoda says "Only what you take with you ..." then Yoda says "Your weapons ... you will not need them." Remember Luke's reaction to that ... he just went about putting his weapons belt on. With that one gesture Luke's fate in the cave was sealed. By taking his weapons he also took his fear with him. You can NOT fight your fear ... you can only face it. Luke fought his fear and thought he had did something good by cutting its head off but ... when the mask stopped rolling around and burst open to show his face ... it showed him his failure and showed him he still had a long way to go with his training.

If you're asking yourself how I got all of that from the movie ... well I didn't. Truth be told when I first saw that scene I thought it meant that Luke had won or something. The when Yoda mentions his "failure at the cave" it started me thinking that my first thoughts were wrong. I could never put my finger on it until I read the EU series "Jedi Academy". In the third book of that series one of the characters, Kyp Durron, had to face a similar "trial". He went into a dark temple on Yavin 4 and in that temple was a shadowy figure whose face he couldn't see. At first he thought it was the "ghost" of the Sith Lord, Exar Kun, who had possessed him and turned him to the dark side. Kyp first decided to fight the shadow and destroy its darkness forever. THEN he realized what Luke didn't ... you can't fight your fear you can only face it and hope for the best. In this case it was the right thing for Kyp to do because the "shadow" wasn't Exar Kun ... it was the spirit of his brother. If he had attacked the "shadow" he would have been attacking his own brother much the way it seemed that Luke was fighting himself and not Vader. His brother’s spirit congratulated him on becoming a full Jedi Knight and then said farewell to him. One of those kind of "touchy feely" kind of things but it worked well to show what Luke had done wrong during his trials in the cave. The mask blowing open to show Luke's face was a bit of "foreshadowing" for Vaders revelation to Luke after their duel in Cloud City.

May The Force Be With You ...
